What is ReferCPA?
ReferCPA is a referral powered hiring platform for accounting, audit, and tax roles. Post a role, fund a bounty, and receive trusted introductions from people in practice. Every referral is scored by our Artificial Intelligence so you see a focused shortlist in days
How does it work?
Companies have 2 options:
- You fund a pre-paid bounty equivalent to 10% of annual salary of the role, when you post a role. Funds sit safely in escrow. If no one is hired within 8 weeks, we refund 80% (OR)
- When you sign up, you have the option to sign our contract, then you only pay after you close the role.
What if I'm not satisfied with the candidates I receive?
Quality is our priority. If the initial shortlist doesn't meet your expectations, we will work with you to refine the role requirements and source additional candidates at no extra cost. Our AI learns from your feedback, improving future matches. Because referrers stake their professional reputation on their recommendations, they are highly motivated to submit only candidates they know.
If the candidate leaves within 3 months we will replace for free.
How fast will we see a shortlist
Most firms receive a curated shortlist of 3-5 qualified candidates within 7-14 days of posting a role. Timeline depends on role complexity and seniority level. All candidates are referred by verified professionals and pre-screened by our proprietary AI scoring engine, before reaching your pipeline

Who can become a referrer on ReferCPA?
Practising accountants, CPAs, Audit, Tax and finance professionals who can vouch for people they know. If you have worked with them, studied with them, or supervised them, can vouch for their skills and character, you are welcome.

How do I get on the platform?
You have 2 options:
- You are introduced by someone who knows you for a particular role. Your profile then goes through our AI scoring engine against that role and you enter the firm’s hiring pipeline when the match is strong. OR
- You can simply sign up, create your profile and apply for a particular role, your profile then goes through our AI scoring engine against that role and you enter the firm’s hiring pipeline when the match is strong
Do I need to rewrite my CV/Resume
Resume is optional. Using our AI, you can describe your profile, salary expectations, location preference e.t.c, Our platform helps you create your profile. You can also upload your resume if you wish. Our platform works beyond resume/CV, we use what we call candidate dossier.
Do I pay anything?
No, ReferCPA is completely free for candidates. Firms pay placement fees. Your referrer earns a portion of that fee. Better still you can refer yourself and earn the fee 😀. Candidates can earn rather than pay.
Do I need to apply to jobs?
Yes, you usually apply to the firm after you are referred (for consent). You can also go to your profile and apply directly (assuming you are already on our platform). Either way, firms only see your profile if you’re a 70%+ match.
